And now, without any further adieu, this week's Thoughtful Thursday.
KIRSTIE WROTE: PG, I'm very stuck. My guides will only speak through someone they want to be my teacher. I disagree with a lot of what's happening... I feel like I'm being pushed. It's straining my relationship A LOT. They keep saying they're *worried about me* and that I need someone else's help to be healed. I don't think this is right. Shouldn't they believe in me, and help me to be strong on any path I choose?
PARAGODDESS RESPONDS: Kirstie, there are a lot of unknowns in this submission. Ordinarily, without details, I'd be hesitant to speak to your concerns. Luckily for both of us, my Intuition is speaking loud and clear, making me confident that I've heard all I need to hear, from you.
My dear, I could't disagree more with the advice you've been given; in fact, if you're mentoring with a spiritual teacher at this time, I'd strongly suggest that you stop. Anytime we feel uncomfortable with a situation, it's a red flag from our intuition, telling us something isn't right. This is starkly different than the discomfort we can feel when we're pushing our limits, expanding our boundaries, and stepping outside our comfort zone. What you're describing is genuine dis-ease.
You are not, in fact, in need of any tutelage at this juncture. What I feel strongly you are in need of, is the following Spiritual Prescription: 1. Buy yourself a poster board, some cheap magazines, some markers, a pen, glue stick, and journal. Take it all home and prepare to embark on an adventure. 2. In a quiet place, begin cutting pictures, words, or phrases out of your magazines. Cut out anything that catches your eye. Perhaps the image, the color, the energy, the vibe... if it speaks to you, cut it out. 3. Using your glue stick, begin affixing the images to your poster board. Get creative! There are NO RULES; follow your inspiration. When you think you've finished with the pictures, prepare for the best part... 4. Using your markers, begin writing on your poster board by hand, words, phrases, emotions or sentences that make sense to you. Follow your heart. Listen to your intuition. Let your inner spirit guide you. 5. The whole while, pray. Pray for guidance, pray for inspiration. Pray for clarity, pray for direction. 6. Place your finished poster board somewhere you can see it. Let it be your inspiration for life --- your life. The life you love; the life you want; the life you're wishing for; the life you'd like to manifest. 7. The final step. When the time is right (and you'll know when this is), journal your thoughts and feelings about the Sacred Vision Board you created. What does it mean to you? What does it tell you about yourself? How do the images speak to who you are... the woman you long to be? What inspiration can you take from the words you wrote on that Sacred Vision Board, to provide direction for your life?
This winter will be a deep, powerful time for you. It is time, my dear, to listen to your voice within, and to speak to your guides and angels directly. No middle man is required. That Sacred Vision Board will act as a compass over the coming winter months; by springtime you'll find yourself in a much better place. Please keep me posted as to your progress. xoxo #ParaGoddess
NICOLE MICHELLE WROTE: *Gets in line.* So many crossroads.
PARAGODDESS RESPONDS: I'll not mince words, Miss Nicole Michelle, your energy is a tangle that took a little time for me to decipher. But I think I've got a handle on where you're at, and what you need to hear, to some extent.
Simply put, you're ready for something more. And by that I mean... I wish you could travel. I want you to go... see... do. Your soul is longing for it, and you're craving it. You want adventure, and that want is becoming a need. So many passions burn within you: I feel an earth-spirit sort of soul residing in you... you're a lover of all things natural and pure, right and just. You should be seeing the world and finding others of your kind...
I wonder if it's possible for you to explore a work-exchange opportunity, in some far off place? Perhaps this sounds like a silly suggestion, but I assure you, these things exist. You need to expand your perception and venture outside the world you know.
Not only would this be exactly the remedy for all that ails you currently, but it'll come in handy, down the road. Mark my words: at some point in the few years, you're going to have an incredible business opportunity come your way. It'll require the refinement and confidence a period of adventure and abandon, can afford. You're meant to do significant things with your life, darling... And while it's true we all are, some will be called to action more significantly than others. You, my dear, are one of those.
To reiterate, I suggest you vacate your current life, if you can. Adventure and change are calling; your future self will thank you for it. xoxo #ParaGoddess
JULIE WROTE: All your food posts look so good! My diet needs a makeover but I don't know where to start. I'm also concerned because I know health food is so much more expensive than what I'm eating now. Thank you for all you do, JoLynne!
PARAGODDESS RESPONDS: Thank you for your question, Julie... awesome inquiries! First, I applaud you for wanting to make healthy diet changes. There's nothing more empowering than improving the food we eat. As for where to start, I strongly suggest baby steps. Lots of people begin by adding more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean proteins to their diet, and weaning off the sugars, starches and processed foods. When folks come to me, and I sense they're serious about their nutrition/fitness, however, I recommend a minimum three-day cleanse. Detoxing the body, before beginning a healthy regimen, is just smart; this way you're not putting good stuff on top of junk. (Pardon the potentially graphic reference. ) You can get information on my 3-Day Sexy Detox Challenge, HERE.
Now, to your inquiry about the expense of healthy food. Julie, when we compare the cost of a six pack of soda, package of Oreos and take-out pizza, to the cost of an array of produce, loaf of whole grain bread, rice, legumes and some lean protein, most people are surprised! Savvy shopping can procure healthy food items, very inexpensively! My husband was initially dumbfounded at how much money we saved when we began shopping at a whole/natural foods store, rather than our usual supermarket. True story! And then there's this: think about the medical bills you'll avoid by eating healthy, now. Please keep me posted as to what choices you make! xoxo #ParaGoddess
